Coricidin HBP Day/Night Multi-Symptom Cold is an expectorant, analgesic, antihistamine, and cough suppressant combination. The antihistamine works by blocking the action of histamine, which helps reduce symptoms such as watery eyes and sneezing. The expectorant works by loosening mucus and lung secretions in the chest and making coughs more productive. The analgesic and cough suppressant work in the brain to decrease pain and fever, and to reduce a dry or unproductive cough.
